Looking for a qualified local national (RMI) candidate to fill a Safety Technician position in the Marshall Islands (Kwajalein) to support the US Army on the LOGCAP V project.
- Provides direct support to the Safety Manager
- Maintains office supplies and keeps inventory
- Assists with site inspections, reports, documentation requirements
- Assist in creating monthly schedules
- Faxes and e-mails as needed
- Maintains reports as necessary
- Uses all equipment safely
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
~2 min read- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
- Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
- Must satisfy the USARPAC Force Health Protection Guidance medical requirements for INDOPACOM prior to OCONUS mobilization, must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis.
- Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
- Assists HSE Manager in standardization of process and procedures to improve efficiencies
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Health and Safety and Quality programs
- Gathers information for daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Maintains operational trackers and accountability information
- Experienced working in challenging work environments
- Proactive nature and strong interpersonal skills in collaborating, communicating, and working with other senior managers and staff.
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
- Communicates effectively orally and in writing
- Successful results of pre-employment screenings
- Comply with Company Drug and Alcohol policy
- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs (including but not limited to MS Suite).
- Must be detail oriented, motivated and drive to perform at a high level.
- Must be able to comprehend English
- Great interpersonal skills.

- Team player.
- Ability to multi-task.
