Compliance & Credentialing Specialist - Healthcare Staffing

About VIZX Global

VIZX Global Solutions is a full-service Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm offering customized, scalable, and efficient solutions across key business verticals. We support organizations by managing complex operations, enabling them to focus on their core business goals while we drive productivity, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.

We believe Africa, especially Kenya, is the next global outsourcing powerhouse, and we’re building a team that represents that vision.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Compliance & Credentialing Specialist with U.S. healthcare staffing (Acute Care). This role will be embedded with a U.S.-based client, functioning as an extension of their internal compliance and credentialing team to ensure healthcare professionals are properly screened, credentialed, and onboarded in line with client requirements, regulatory standards, and placement timelines.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with a strong understanding of credentialing workflows for acute care clinicians. They should be able to manage multiple files at once, follow up proactively, maintain accurate records, and work closely with candidates, recruiters, facilities, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely compliance clearance.

Key Responsibilities

1) Healthcare Credentialing & Compliance Management

Manage end-to-end credentialing and compliance processes for acute care healthcare professionals, including RNs, LPNs/LVNs, allied health professionals, and other clinical staff based on client needs.

Review and track required documentation such as licenses, certifications, immunization records, background checks, drug screens, skills checklists, references, and onboarding forms.

Ensure candidate files are complete, accurate, and compliant before submission, onboarding, or start date.

Monitor expiring credentials and support timely renewals to maintain active and compliant clinician records.

2) Acute Care Documentation & Readiness Tracking

Support the credentialing process for clinicians being placed in hospitals, health systems, and other acute care environments.

Track facility-specific and role-specific compliance requirements to ensure each clinician meets assignment standards.

Coordinate document collection and follow-up to avoid onboarding delays and missed start dates.

Identify missing, expired, or inconsistent documents and resolve them promptly through candidate outreach and internal coordination.

3) Candidate & Stakeholder Communication

Serve as a key point of contact for candidates throughout the credentialing and compliance process.

Communicate clearly regarding outstanding items, deadlines, next steps, and compliance expectations.

Partner closely with recruiters, onboarding teams, account managers, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth handoff from recruitment to compliance clearance.

Provide timely updates on file status, risks, delays, and expected clearance timelines.

4) Systems, Record Accuracy & Process Adherence

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in ATS, CRM, VMS, and credentialing platforms.

Ensure all notes, document uploads, status changes, and compliance checklists are completed correctly and on time.

Follow client SOPs, data privacy requirements, audit standards, and documentation protocols.

Support audits and file reviews by ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and easy to retrieve.

5) Performance Tracking & Operational Support

Track credentialing KPIs such as file turnaround time, clearance rates, pending items, expirations, and start-date readiness.

Prepare daily or weekly compliance pipeline reports aligned with client expectations.

Flag bottlenecks early and recommend practical improvements to streamline credentialing workflows and improve turnaround time.

Support continuous process improvement by identifying recurring documentation issues or compliance gaps.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, compliance, or onboarding, with proven exposure to U.S. healthcare staffing.
  • Experience supporting acute care staffing environments such as hospitals, medical centers, or facility-based care settings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance documentation including state licenses, certifications, background checks, health records, and onboarding clearances.
  • Ability to manage high-volume files with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using ATS, CRM, VMS, or credentialing systems to track candidate compliance status and documentation.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional follow-up and documentation habits.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work U.S.-aligned time zones and meet daily/weekly performance expectations.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working independently within structured processes and KPI frameworks.

Nice to Have

  • Experience credentialing for travel nurses, allied health, or per diem clinicians in acute care settings.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission, hospital onboarding standards, or facility-specific compliance processes.
  • Exposure to tools such as Bullhorn, JobDiva, VMS platforms, RingCentral, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-state clinician credentialing and license tracking.
  • Understanding of urgent staffing timelines and fast-turnaround start-date coordination.

Key Competencies

  • Attention to detail and document accuracy
  • Compliance tracking and follow-through
  • Urgency management and deadline discipline
  • Stakeholder communication and responsiveness
  • Process adherence and documentation control
  • Problem-solving and escalation awareness
  • Organization and reporting consistency

KPI-driven performance with daily/weekly reporting cadence
