The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who can translate client needs into thoughtful interior environments while contributing strong design, technical documentation, and coordination skills. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with clients, architects, consultants, vendors, and fellow designers.

Interior Designer Experience and Desired Skill Set:
We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our collaborative design team. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who can translate client needs into thoughtful interior environments while contributing strong design, technical documentation, and coordination skills. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with clients, architects, consultants, vendors, and fellow designers.
Interior Designer Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of interior design projects, from programming and concept development through construction administration.
- Meet with clients and project teams to support programming, space planning, and development of functional design solutions.
- Develop design concepts, finish palettes, FF&E selections, digital presentations, and 3D visualizations that clearly communicate design intent.
- Produce accurate, coordinated Revit documentation, including plans, elevations, details, schedules, and construction documents.
- Research, select, and specify interior finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment with consideration for aesthetics, performance, budget, and lead times.
- Coordinate interior design work with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers to maintain design intent and resolve issues.
- Conduct field measurements and site visits and assist with submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and other construction administration tasks.
- Support furniture procurement, product delivery, installation coordination, and final installation review as required.
- Maintain clear project documentation and manage assigned tasks, schedules, and deliverables while contributing to project quality reviews and firm standards.
Interior Designer Experience and Desired Skill Set:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program required.
- 3+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably within an architecture or commercial interior design firm.
- Proficiency in Revit required; experience with Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite or similar presentation and rendering tools preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of space planning, finish and material selection, FF&E, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, life safety considerations, and interior construction details.
- Strong graphic, verbal, written, and client presentation skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, and ability to manage multiple deadlines; NCIDQ certification or active progress toward certification preferred. Portfolio required.
