The Engineering Coordinator will support the heartbeat of a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing operation while driving projects, financial accuracy and operational excellence. We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team and play a critical role in supporting our Engineering Department and cross-functional business operations. Reporting directly to the site's Engineering Manager, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and takes pride in keeping projects, systems, and financial processes running smoothly.

This is a full-time, on-site role that operates out of our 24/7, end to end manufacturing facility in North East, Pennsylvania, just outside of Erie.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate purchase orders and manage ordering activities across multiple departments, including Engineering and IT
  • Support weekly and monthly billing processes, accounting documentation, and financial reporting activities
  • Assist with environmental reporting and participate in environmental safety and food safety audits
  • Help administer capital projects within company systems and track assets through installation and depreciation
  • Prepare and manage financial documentation including credit applications, expense reports, sales tax forms, DOT filings, and licensing paperwork
  • Maintain and organize project documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate monthly Cash Flow updates by tracking and reporting actual project spend
  • Ensure projects are properly established within the ERP system and manage project closeout and fixed asset setup processes
  • Maintain Monthly Project Summary reporting and track projects requiring Legal review or support
  • Provide administrative and operational support to help sustain the daily needs of a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing operation
  • You excel in a fast-moving environment and can effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems
  • You’re comfortable working with technology and quickly adapt to new systems and processes
  • You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • You enjoy supporting internal teams and building strong cross-functional partnerships
  • You can manage interruptions and shifting priorities without losing focus or momentum
  • You take ownership of your work and contribute positively to team success
  • 3–5 years of experience in an administrative, project coordination, engineering support, manufacturing support, or financial coordination role
  • Passion for engineering and manufacturing
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Oracle, Vision 360, and Visio experience is a plus

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
