Ski & Snowboard Technician

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Ski Rental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for backcountry skiing/splitboarding and a strong technical understanding of ski and snowboard equipment. They will have experience assisting customers select the best equipment for them as well as ensuring the equipment is set up correctly and safely. 

Contract Period: November 2026 - March 2027

Job Duties

• Prepare and maintain rental skis, snowboards, and associated equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service by fitting customers with the appropriate equipment and answering their questions
• Educate customers on the best use of equipment and care including a demonstration of skin application and removal and engagement/disengagement of touring mode  
• Assist guests with any retail goods that they require and provide resort information to the guests
• Manage the rental shop inventory and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on skis and snowboards
• Comply with all area and industry procedures, regulations and company, store, and area policies and procedures
• Work as a team and assist other departments as needed
• Assist in daily set up and closing procedures of the store each day 
  
  

What You'll Need to Succeed

Mainly a contagious love of skis/boards - fiddling with them, fixing them and riding them! Bring the stoke and these key things:

• Technical:
  • Experience working in a ski/snowboard rental shop or backcountry ski/splitboarding shop
  • Strong technical understanding of ski and snowboard equipment, including bindings, boots, and accessories
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments on skis and snowboards
  • Experience with frame/pin bindings and splitboards is advantageous but not essential. 
• Attitude:
  • Passion for backcountry skiing/splitboarding
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
