Position Overview:
We are seeking an engaging, dependable Kinesiology Instructor to join our Massage Therapy School
faculty.
This is a part-time teaching position requiring only one evening per week from 6:00 PM–10:00 PM, making it
a great opportunity for someone who would like to teach while maintaining their current career or practice.
A degree in kinesiology is not required. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of
basic kinesiology, anatomy, muscles, and body movement and enjoys helping others learn.
We provide the textbook and curriculum, so you will have the materials and course structure needed to
teach the class successfully.
Schedule
One evening per week
6:00 PM–10:00 PM
Part-time instructor position
Consistent weekly teaching schedule
What You'll Teach:
Basic kinesiology and musculoskeletal anatomy
Major muscles, bones, and joints
Muscle origins, insertions, and actions
Planes of movement and anatomical terminology
Range of motion and joint movement
Palpation and identification of muscles and anatomical landmarks
Posture and body mechanics
How muscles work together during movement
How kinesiology applies to massage therapy
Proper body mechanics for massage therapists
Responsibilities:
Teach kinesiology using the school-provided curriculum and textbook
Provide engaging classroom and hands-on instruction
Demonstrate muscle locations, movements, and palpation techniques
Help students connect kinesiology concepts to massage therapy
Make anatomy and movement concepts easy to understand and practical
Evaluate student progress through coursework, quizzes, exams, and practical assessments
Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and required student records
Provide support to students who need additional help
Maintain a positive, professional, and encouraging classroom environment
Communicate effectively with students and school leadership
Qualifications:
You do not need a degree in kinesiology to apply.
Good grasp of basic kinesiology and anatomy
Understanding of muscles, body movement, and basic musculoskeletal function
Comfortable learning and teaching from a provided textbook and curriculum
Ability to explain concepts in a simple and engaging way
Teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is a plus
Dependable, professional, and organized
Able to commit to one evening per week from 6:00 PM–10:00 PM
Experience in massage therapy, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, physical therapy, athletic training,
exercise science, fitness, or a related field is a plus
