Position Overview:
Are you an experienced massage therapist who loves your profession and would enjoy helping train the next
generation of massage therapists?
We are looking for a knowledgeable, positive, and engaging Massage Therapy Technique Instructor to join
our Massage Therapy School faculty.
This is a part-time Saturday teaching position from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. The instructor will not be needed
every Saturday, and the teaching schedule will be based on the school curriculum and class calendar.
A current Texas Massage Therapy Instructor License is required for this position.
We provide the curriculum and course structure so you can focus on demonstrating technique, coaching
students, and helping future massage therapists build confidence and strong hands-on skills.
Schedule:
Saturdays, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Part-time instructor position
Not needed every Saturday
Teaching dates based on the school curriculum and class calendar
What You'll Teach:
Foundational massage therapy techniques
Swedish massage techniques and proper application
Proper pressure, pacing, rhythm, and transitions
Massage sequencing and flow
Proper body mechanics and therapist ergonomics
Draping and client positioning
Palpation and hands-on technique development
Client comfort and communication
Sanitation, safety, boundaries, and professionalism
Adapting massage techniques appropriately for different client needs
Preparing students to confidently transition from the classroom into professional massage therapy
Responsibilities:
Teach hands-on massage techniques using the school-provided curriculum
Demonstrate proper massage techniques and explain their purpose and application
Provide hands-on coaching and constructive feedback to students
Help students develop proper body mechanics, flow, pressure, and confidence
Reinforce proper draping, sanitation, safety, boundaries, and professional standards
Help students connect classroom education with real-world massage therapy practice
Evaluate student skills through practical assessments and course requirements
Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and required student records
Create a positive, professional, and encouraging learning environment
Serve as a strong example of professionalism within the massage therapy industry
Required Qualifications:
Current Texas Massage Therapy Instructor License – REQUIRED
Strong hands-on massage therapy skills
Solid understanding of foundational massage techniques
Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, body mechanics, draping, sanitation, and client care
Ability to clearly demonstrate techniques and coach students while they practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, encouraging, and comfortable providing constructive feedback
Dependable and professional
Available to teach scheduled Saturdays from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Prior classroom teaching experience is a plus, but we are most interested in finding an experienced
massage professional who enjoys teaching and mentoring others.
We Provide the Curriculum
You do not have to create a class or lesson plans from scratch.
We provide the curriculum and course structure. You bring your hands-on experience, technique,
professionalism, and passion for massage therapy.
