Consultant in Pediatric Surgery

Woodston Personnel are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Pediatric Surgery to join the surgical team of a leading hospital in Saudi Arabia. The Consultant will provide specialized surgical care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of congenital and acquired conditions. The role includes operative and non-operative management, teaching, participation in research, and contributions to the development of pediatric surgical services.
Perform a broad range of pediatric surgical procedures, including neonatal surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and emergency interventions
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for pediatric patients across outpatient, inpatient, and intensive care settings
Participate in multidisciplinary care planning with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other subspecialists
Lead ward rounds, surgical clinics, and operative sessions
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and junior doctors
Participate in clinical audits, research projects, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, pathways, and standard operating procedures
Ensure accurate documentation, informed consent, and adherence to patient safety standards

Advanced technical skills in open and minimally invasive pediatric surgical techniques
Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and problem-solving abilities

Valid and current medical license or eligibility for licensure in Saudi Arabia
MUST HAVE postgraduate qualification specialist training as follows: American Board (US), FRCS (Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand), Diplôme d’Études Spécialisées (DES) / CIS French Board, Facharzt (Germany or equivalent) with recognised Subspecialty Certification, Recognized Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery from an accredited institution
Minimum 3 - 4 years post-board/fellowship experience in Pediatric Surgery at a consultant or attending level
Excellent clinical/ technical skills in his/ her specialty.
Knowledge of Arabic.
