Job Title: Student Employment: Social Media Assistant/Student Office Assistant - Law Admissions

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of Law Admissions, help plan and create digital content for the Quinnipiac Law School social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
• Capture quality photography via their smartphone.
• Write engaging posts about law school events and student life. Contribute and execute creative ideas for posts.

Work with Manager of Marketing Communications and Law Admissions team to identify weekly schedule of events to cover. In addition, take initiative to contribute photos and posts for consideration that reflect law student life and law school/campus scenes.

Great opportunity for someone who loves the law school, enjoys using social media, and can write and capture good quality photos.

In addition, the student may be required to assist with various office duties including but not limited to the following: assisting with mailings and on-campus programs, calling local businesses to update information, data entry, research, market and competitor research, inventory, shredding and other projects as needed. The student may be asked to provide assistance to other areas including Financial Aid.

Qualifications:

Solid smartphone photography skills. Good writing and communications skills and ability to create engaging content. Experience using social media platforms. Attention to detail, professional, and willing to take initiative. Must be comfortable engaging with students, faculty, and others in order to take photos and gather information for posts while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Requires ability to move throughout the law school and law school grounds in order to cover events and take photos on a weekly basis.

As part of student office assistant responsibilities, may be required to stand and lift boxes at times to complete inventory. 

Hours of Position:
  • 1 opening for a Law work-study student only. Up to 6 hours per week although this may vary depending on the time of year.
  • The ability to work during one or more of our Open Houses (Saturdays) is a plus but is not required.
