Wunderkind is looking for the MarTech industry's brightest and best sales talent to join us in a pivotal time for the company as we evolve into a SaaS focused provider.
Reporting to the AVP of Sales and Partnerships, as Director of Business Development, you’ll spearhead the new business function in close alignment. You’ll have the close support of a dedicated Business Development Associate, who you’ll be trusted to mentor for mutual success. You’ll be instrumental in not only managing the deal flow, but also identifying opportunities and helping to forge strategic relationships.
As a retail-focused business who works with 650+ retailers globally, we’re looking for someone who is experienced in dealing with ecommerce leaders. You’ll need to be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and understanding what is truly important to both their businesses and their individual KPIs.

- →Strategic Partnerships: Build, foster, and manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders to drive mutual growth and revenue.
- →Market Research & Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities. Use these insights to craft impactful go-to-market strategies.
- →Sales Pipeline Management: Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiations, ensuring a consistent and predictable revenue stream.
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven Track Record: 5+ years of business development, sales, or strategic partnerships experience with a proven history of closing high-value deals and delivering revenue growth.
- Tech Fluency: Prior experience selling MarTech and email marketing platforms
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and take ownership of your success.
- Strong Negotiator & Communicator: Exceptional ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and communicate the value proposition effectively.
- Strategic Thinker: Capable of seeing the bigger picture while diving deep into details when necessary.
- Personality: Proactive hunter with a consultative approach.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the ecommerce market and its key players, trends, and opportunities.
- Builder: Someone who can thrive as an individual but is open to building out a department that you can lead.
- Ambitious & Self-Driven: Relentless in your pursuit of new opportunities and exceeding targets
The total compensation range for this role is $280,000 to $330,000, base plus commission. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
