Technical Tester (Playwright, API & Integration Testing)

We are looking for a Medior/Senior Technical Tester to join our long-term partnership with ICA Banken.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Sarajevo, with a planned start date in November 2026.

The initial engagement is planned to run until February 2028, with the possibility of extension or continuation on another project within the wider ICA partnership.

You will work with manual and automated testing of APIs, miniservices, backend services, integrations, and databases within a business-critical banking environment.

This role requires strong hands-on test automation experience, including practical experience with Playwright, and the ability to contribute to automation from the start.

You will join a cross-functional team modernizing a corporate banking platform used to manage finances, transactions, and loans.

The modernization covers web and mobile applications, as well as the supporting architecture, infrastructure, backend services, and integrations.

Your primary responsibility will be to automate and execute system tests for APIs and services developed by the integration team. You will also perform manual testing, maintain regression coverage, validate backend processes and data, investigate defects, and help identify issues before they reach production.

The work includes:

• Developing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright
• Manual and automated testing of APIs, miniservices, and microservices
• Testing integrations and data flows between different systems
• Backend and database verification
• Building and maintaining automated regression coverage
• Test planning, preparation, execution, and reporting
• Exploratory, integration, system, and regression testing
• Investigating defects across services, databases, and integrations
• Assessing issues based on severity and business impact
• Running automated tests through CI/CD processes
• Independently coordinating testing activities within the team
• Collaborating with developers, testers, and other colleagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden

• 3+ years of professional software testing experience
• Strong hands-on test automation experience
• Practical professional experience with Playwright
• Experience using TypeScript or another programming language for test automation
• Strong experience with API testing and API test automation
• Experience testing backend services, miniservices, microservices, or system integrations
• Experience validating integrations and data flows between systems
• Experience with backend and database verification
• Experience maintaining and executing automated regression test suites
• Experience with CI/CD environments
• Strong understanding of test planning, test design, exploratory testing, and defect management
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Ability to independently manage testing activities and take ownership of quality
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• Good English communication skills

• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with C# and RestSharp
• Practical SQL knowledge
• Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner
• Experience with Jira and Azure DevOps
• Experience using AI tools in software testing
• Experience with BrowserStack or similar platforms
• Previous experience in banking or financial services
• ISTQB Foundation or another relevant testing certification
