We seek part time student workers who demonstrate strong academic performance, engagement beyond the classroom, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in Zoox’s mission.

Zoox's Cartography team is responsible for building, curating, and maintaining high-definition road networks. This includes expanding our geofence, validating the accuracy of annotated data, and responding to “world change” events to ensure our maps remain up-to-date.

As a Labeling Technician (3-month contract), you'll play a key role in creating and validating semantic road network data, ensuring map content aligns with real-world geometry, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the integrity of our mapping system. We're looking for detail-oriented, analytical students who excel at precision work and can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Create and maintain Zoox’s semantic road network data.

Ensure our map content aligns with road geometry and adheres to established content requirements.

Validate road network data for accuracy, correctness, and consistency with real-world conditions.

Meet deadlines and contribute to high-stakes company goals.

Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve mapping-related issues.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret spatial data

Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Actively enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college program pursuing a certificate or degree in a related field

Work or school experience in data labeling, annotation, or quality assurance

Experience with mapping, cartography, or map content validation

Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and geospatial data

Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S

Available for a 6 month project

Able to commit to at least 20 hours per week

Ability to commute on-site to one of our offices

Student Worker may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside.

$30 per hour.

This is a contract position and employment for this position will be through a vendor contracted through Zoox. The hourly range is posted and you will be eligible for a benefits package as offered by the vendor
