The Relief Officer SVG will be responsible for the mitigation of loan loss in the non-performing portfolio, through the use of various recovery methods and tools.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with external parties such as the Bank’s Solicitors
- Prepare loan applications for the restructuring and refinancing of non-performing loans
- Conduct site visits to the Banks immovable and movable securities when and where necessary.
- Represent the Bank on court matters where necessary.
- Rehabilitate customer’s finances for the purpose of servicing their obligations with 1NB.
- Ensure that the security under the allotted portfolio is intact where necessary
- Execute all administrative functions which impact the NPL portfolio in a timely manner
- Attendance at Judicial Sales
- Update account status and database regularly
- Stem flow of delinquent accounts.
- Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments.
- Convert delinquent cards 90 days and over to loans.
- Prepare loan applications for the restructuring and refinancing of loans
- Update account status and database regularly.
- Produce required reports to the Supervisor on a timely basis.
- Ensure timely forwarding of notices to customers in arrears based on policies.
- Ensure timely issuing of Internal Demand Letters for accounts in arrears, based on policy.
- Locate and contact debtors to inquire about their payment status.
- Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
- Handle questions or complaints.
- Communicate with external parties such as Bailiffs and other professionals as and when required in the recovery process.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Banking, Business or related field
- Working knowledge of collection/ recovery will be an asset
- Over three (3) years experience as a Securities/Recoveries/Loans Officer
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
