Coating Engineer ( Oil & Gas Industry )

ABIS is seeking a skilled Coating Engineer to join our Oil & Gas industry team. The Coating Engineer will be responsible for developing, planning, and supervising coating projects to ensure the protection of equipment and structures against corrosion and other environmental factors. This role involves close collaboration with project teams to specify coatings, manage application processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, extensive knowledge of coating systems and materials, and a commitment to quality and safety.

• →Develop coating specifications and procedures for oil and gas projects.
• →Inspect and evaluate surfaces to determine appropriate coating systems.
• →Supervise coating application activities to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• →Coordinate with quality control and inspection teams to monitor coating integrity.
• →Manage documentation related to coating processes, approvals, and certifications.
• →Provide technical support and recommendations for coating-related issues.
• →Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during coating operations.
• →Stay updated with latest technologies and industry trends in coatings and corrosion protection.

• →Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Corrosion Engineering or related field.
• →Minimum 5 years experience in coating engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• →In-depth knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• →Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE, SSPC, and ISO related to coating and corrosion control.
• →Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• →Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• →Proficiency in relevant software tools for documentation and reporting.
