The Donor Marketing Coordinator supports multichannel fundraising efforts in support of AFSC’s mission and work. This position coordinates with colleagues and consultants to ensure timely implementation of plans. They also write and edit fundraising copy, produce emails and donor stewardship articles, update digital fundraising assets, and pull reports. 

Responsibilities

  • Help implement multi-channel campaigns. Implement plans to acquire and retain individual donors. Fulfill assignments such as producing emails, creating donation forms, posting web assets, developing content, and proofreading.
  • Serve as a liaison to our direct marketing consultant’s production team. Work collaboratively to produce digital and direct mail campaigns. 
  • Write and edit a variety of fundraising content. Route art and copy through review and approval, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain high standards of quality.  
  • Produce web articles and print pieces to engage and steward donors. Contribute to development of publications such as the Annual Report and Quaker Action magazine. Work collaboratively with the Development Donor Services and Leadership Gifts teams on donor teleconference calls, special mailings, and other efforts to engage donors.  
  • Manage special projects. Examples include fundraising pilots on new platforms and implementation of strategies geared toward monthly and mid-level donors. 
  • Monitor fundraising results. Pull fundraising and contribution reports when assigned. Create reports monitoring progress toward Marketing & Communications objectives and key results.
  • Ensure that fundraising efforts adhere to the data hygiene, security, and other procedures that govern AFSC’s use of CRMs. Build lists for e-appeals and other fundraising and stewardship messages, applying current protocols and best practices. 
  • Submit invoices to Finance Department and confirm payments.  
  • Stay current with fundraising best practices. Participate in peer groups and utilize external resources.
  • Work collaboratively with fundraising and communications colleagues. Participate in meetings and conference calls and attend periodic in-person gatherings of Advancement staff and other teams.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Operates safely in all conditions and follows policies and procedures.
  • Support the Communications Department with other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Associate’s degree in related field required. Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience, one year in implementing communications or fundraising engagement efforts and one year of experience demonstrating strong writing and / or editing skills required.
  • Candidates with nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and to travel, as
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office and related technology.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the principles, concerns, and considerations, of AFSC in regard to issues of race, class, nationality, religion, age, gender and sexual orientation, and disabilities. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with diverse staff.

The AFSC offers a competitive Total Rewards package.  This position is Salary Family: Development Job Code Development Coordinator 1.  Salary Family Range $54,500 - $77,740. Comprehensive medical and hospitalization plan; term life, STD & LTD, defined benefit pension plan, 403b match, plus other benefits including vacation, PTO, sabbaticals, extended leaves, holidays, participation in unemployment and worker’s compensation and social security.
