Responsibilities
~1 min read- Receive, inspect, sort, segregate, and handle customer-owned and company-owned cylinders.
- Load, unload, palletize, and prepare cylinders, racks, dewars, mini tanks, and containers for local and export dispatch.
- Operate forklifts and other approved material handling equipment for safe movement of cylinders and products.
- Identify and segregate damaged, expired, or non-conforming cylinders.
- Perform cylinder filling activities in accordance with approved procedures.
- Connect and disconnect cylinders to filling manifolds and assist with filling line operations.
- Fill, handle, and prepare LIN and LAR dewars for customer delivery.
- Monitor operations and report any abnormal conditions.
- Sort and track cylinders using SAP PACT devices and plant inventory systems.
- Support stock control, inventory reconciliation, loading, unloading, and dispatch activities.
- Verify shipments, labeling, and documentation before delivery.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of cylinder racks and bundles.
- Support plant startup, shutdown, maintenance, inspections, and routine operational activities.
- Issue and control Safety Work Permits (SWP) as authorized, ensuring compliance with plant safety procedures and permit requirements.
- Assist senior operators in process operations and troubleshooting.
- Perform cylinder painting, cleaning, labeling, and preparation activities.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in the filling plant, yard, storage, and loading areas.
- Participate in equipment cleaning and general plant upkeep.
- Comply with all HSE, quality, and operational procedures.
- Use required PPE and report hazards, incidents, defects, and unsafe conditions.
- Participate in training, audits, safety meetings, and emergency response activities.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to permit-to-work and risk assessment requirements.
