Primary Responsibilities:

1. Keep the yard clean, tidy and free from litter and pollutants.
2. Empty trash cans and ashtrays and make sure that all trash is properly disposed of
3. Clean, dust and mop office floors by using a variety of equipment and supplies
4. Ensure that cleaning liquids are mixed in correct and safe quantities
5. Vacuum and shampoo carpets and make sure that they are dried out before the day begins
6. Wipe down desks and chairs and make sure that an stubborn smears are removed using appropriate cleaning materials
7. Empty trash cans and ashtrays and make sure that all trash is properly disposed off
8. Clean and wash down windows and ensure that they are dried properly
9. Ensure that the office kitchen and equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
10. Wash down restrooms and ensure they are sanitized properly
11. Replenish towels, soap and toilet paper in bathrooms on a regular basis
12. Wipe down walls, doors and wall hangings using appropriate types of cleaners and cloth
13. Replace light bulbs and identify maintenance issues
14. Assist in any repairs as necessary
15. Ensure proper cleanliness of the areas around the office such as walkways and parking lots
16. Ensure correct segregation of cleaning items during cleaning tasks to avoid cross contamination

Secondary Responsibilities:

1. Move around heavy equipment and furniture for the purpose of storage or rearranging.
2. Ensuring facilities are locked at the end of the day.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

1. Secondary school educated
2. Responsible
3. Conversant in basic hygiene
