Responsibilities

  • Negotiate commodity pricing and support cost reduction initiatives to achieve departmental goals.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, and recommend the most competitive sourcing solutions.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and engineers to understand commodity requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.

  • Manage contracts, purchase orders, cost reduction plans, and savings validation for assigned commodities.

  • Monitor supplier performance and departmental objectives, coordinating cross-functional issue resolution and implementing mitigation actions as needed to meet quality, cost, delivery, and timing targets.

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0 to 2 years of experience, or 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. If holding an Associate’s degree, candidates must have 4 additional years of equivalent experience.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • The ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Demonstrated leadership potential with an interest in future leadership opportunities within a global organization.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of issues and drive resolution to complex challenges.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability in work products and deliverables.

  • Adaptable and receptive to feedback, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
