We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our production team who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll support the Production Manager in organizing job workflows, coordinating technical production needs, and connecting sales, clients, and production teams to deliver accurate, on time results. 

Responsibilities

  • Help monitor and control job flow by reviewing production schedules and supporting on-time delivery of products that meet company and client quality standards.
  • Maintain awareness of the status of all active jobs to respond to inquiries and escalate potential production issues quickly.
  • Work collaboratively with department managers and supervisors to maintain an accurate and efficient production schedule across all operations.
  • Support coordination with the Estimating department to develop layouts and production plans that follow best practices and optimal manufacturing processes.
  • Review incoming jobs against estimate specifications and report discrepancies so estimates or schedules can be adjusted when necessary.
  • Assist in communicating production issues, updates, or schedule changes to Sales Representatives and/or clients.
  • Help monitor proof production, ensuring proofs are delivered promptly to customers and returned in a timely manner to maintain production timelines.
  • Maintain customer contact when needed and occasionally assist with press checks or press viewings.
  • Support oversight of production quality and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Communications, Production Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a printing, manufacturing, or production support environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of commercial printing processes (prepress, press, bindery, and finishing).
  • Familiarity with production scheduling, job tickets, and workflow within a print manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat for reviewing files and job documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications, production orders, and estimates.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple jobs and priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate between sales, production teams, and management.

Shifts Available:  1st shift (8:00am- 4:00pm)
