Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center.  Under the direction of owners Mike & Sheri Williams, AKSC has established an organization that sees its purpose as helping children to learn strong VALUES with which they will set worthy GOALS and for which we must train them in the SKILLS needed to achieve those goals.  Sport training is the tool we use to achieve that purpose.

The Gymnastics Manager will lead and support our coaching staff, ensuring high-quality instruction, positive customer experiences, and smooth program operations. This role combines hands-on training, staff development, and administrative responsibilities to create an exceptional gymnastics environment for athletes and families.

Responsibilities

- Schedule and conduct phone interviews.
- Create new-hire binders and review materials with staff.
- Develop training schedules and lead gym orientations, including SubItUp training.

- Plan and facilitate staff training sessions for Levels 1–4 at both Southwest and Northwest locations.
- Cover topics including classroom management, skill education, and effective parent communication.
- Continuously coach and support staff by observing classes and providing feedback.
- Complete coach evaluation forms and share feedback with the Director.
- Identify top-performing staff and address underperformance in collaboration with the Director.

- Manage staff schedules and meetings.
- Assist in finding substitutes during admin shifts.
- Maintain knowledge of class pricing, ratios, and policies.

- Oversee set-up and tear-down of gymnastics events.
- Ensure consistent program quality by making time for class observations and staff support.Describe the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate

- Must be able to lift, move, and spot athletes and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely set up and tear down gymnastics equipment as part of daily operations.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and move actively for extended periods while working with students.
