CDL-A Truck Driver | No-touch automotive freight
Pay: $1,300 to $1,550 per week | Home Time: 7-10 days out
Hiring Area: Raleigh, NC

Automotive freight operating across regional lanes
High percentage of drop-and-hook freight
2,500-3,000 miles per week
Monthly safety bonus up to $750

Freight moving through established routes helps create a predictable operating schedule while keeping drivers active throughout the week. With no-touch automotive freight, frequent drop-and-hook loads, and consistent freight demand across the network, drivers spend more time driving and less time waiting at customer locations.

Freight, Routes & Miles

• 100% no-touch automotive freight
• Approximately 90% drop-and-hook freight
• Average length of haul is around 500 miles
• Drivers typically run 2,500-3,000 miles per week

Drivers primarily operate east of I-35 while hauling automotive freight through established customer and distribution networks.

Pay & Home Time: Drivers earn $1,300 to $1,550 per week, with an additional monthly safety bonus of up to $750.

Drivers typically stay out 7-10 days followed by a 34-48 hour reset at home. Home time is scheduled regularly to provide time off between trips while maintaining freight coverage.

Equipment & Orientation: Drivers operate primarily Peterbilt 579 tractors along with other well-maintained equipment. Trucks are equipped with inverters and refrigerators, and assigned equipment may be taken home during home time.

Orientation is completed online, and DOT physicals are scheduled close to home whenever possible. Transportation to pick up your truck is provided after onboarding.

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are available along with a 401(k) plan and paid vacation. Drivers are paid on loaded and empty miles and receive detention pay, layover pay, and access to 24-hour dispatch support.

Qualifications: Valid CDL-A required along with a current DOT medical card. Drivers must have at least 3 months of experience within the last 12 months or 1 year within the last 3 years operating a tractor with a 40-foot or longer trailer.

American Trucking Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants are considered fairly and equally.
