Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Provide systems administration support for Windows server and workstation environments that sustain DHA mission and healthcare operations.
- Administer Active Directory, including organizational units, group policy, user and service accounts, and role-based access controls.
- Implement and maintain secure system baselines in accordance with DISA STIGs, DHA or DoD cybersecurity requirements, and approved configuration standards.
- Apply operating system, application, and firmware updates within established maintenance windows and remediate vulnerabilities identified through ACAS scans, security assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Monitor system availability, audit logs, and performance metrics to maintain operational readiness, security, and service continuity.
- Provision, configure, image, and maintain servers, workstations, and associated peripheral equipment.
- Support backup, restoration, continuity of operations, and disaster recovery activities for mission-essential systems and data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated system, authentication, application, and network-related issues across local and remote environments.
- Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration records, inventory data, and compliance artifacts.
- Support RMF and cybersecurity activities by implementing technical controls, assisting with audits, and maintaining evidence for assessments and authorizations.
- Coordinate with network, cybersecurity, engineering, and service desk teams to support infrastructure changes, incident response, and steady-state operations.
- Provide on-site support within controlled or secure environments, including approved collaboration, printing, and communication systems, as required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience providing Tier I, Tier II, or Tier III IT support.
- 2+ years of experience administering Windows Server 2012 or later.
- Experience with basic network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience replacing and troubleshooting PC and server hardware.
- Experience collecting and evaluating operating system performance data.
- Experience identifying and diagnosing hardware failures.
- Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
- Experience administering Microsoft File and Print Services.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
- Experience administering Active Directory.
- Experience supporting Virtual Tele-Conference (VTC) systems.
- Experience administering Linux servers.
- Experience supporting systems within the DoD NIPRNET environment.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere.
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker.
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of internet protocols, operating system security controls, and network configuration principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM).
- Experience administering centralized authentication services such as Active Directory or LDAP.
- Experience with IP network operations, including switching, routing, firewalls, and subnetting.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing, issue tracking, and collaboration tools.
- Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
- Experience with SQL Server 2019.
- Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems.
- Familiarity with Tanzu, Rancher, and Kubernetes
