About the opportunity

In this role you will work closely with partners and senior lawyers to deliver high quality and commercially focused employment law advice to a broad range of clients. You will be involved across the full spectrum of employment law matters including advocacy in employment disputes, personal grievance processes and dispute resolution. The role also includes advising on restructuring and redundancy, drafting and reviewing employment agreements, supporting clients with performance management matters and providing guidance on employment legislation and workplace compliance.

You will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships while developing your technical capability and commercial judgement. The work is varied and engaging, allowing you to deepen your expertise in employment law while contributing to practical solutions that support clients to manage complex workplace issues.

About you

You will be admitted to practise in New Zealand and bring at least four years of post qualification experience, ideally with exposure to employment law and litigation matters. You are confident drafting legal documents and providing advice that is both legally sound and commercially pragmatic. You enjoy working directly with clients and are motivated to continue developing your career in employment law.

You have strong judgement, clear communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively while delivering excellent results. You are comfortable working independently when required while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment and building strong relationships across the firm and with clients.
