The Capture Manager is the execution engine of our DoD business development operation. In this role, you will own the full business development lifecycle end-to-end, from building the technical materials that get us into the room to managing the capture process through contract award. You are a high-agency operator who treats the pipeline like your own business, ensuring every strategic opportunity opened by senior leadership receives relentless operational follow-through and conversion.

  • Own the development of pitch decks, capability briefs, white papers, and RFI/RFP responses.
  • Lead the capture process from qualification through award, including win themes, competitive assessments (black hats), and gate reviews.
  • Conduct structured customer discovery to map mission needs, budget landscapes, and decision-making processes.
  • Serve as the primary working-level point of contact for government stakeholders, including PMs and contracting officers.
  • Translate customer pain points into actionable intelligence for our product and engineering teams to shape our roadmap.
  • Manage the internal "operational engine" of the pursuit, tracking every action item and maintaining pipeline hygiene.
  • BS or MS in a technical field, Business, or International Relations.
  • 3–7 years of experience in defense/intel business development, capture management, or military acquisitions.
  • Proficiency in DoD acquisition pathways including OTAs, SBIRs, BAAs, and IDIQs.
  • Advanced technical writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality executive summaries and white papers independently.
  • Expert command of Salesforce (CRM), Jira (action tracking), and Google Workspace.
  • Mastery of market intelligence tools such as GovWin and SAM.gov.
  • Strong briefed-communication skills with the ability to sit across from a Program Manager or Technical Director and speak with depth.
