Our team develops new processes and applications in a vertical batch reactor for state-of-art integrated device flows. It is a chance to work in one of the most advanced scientific fields in the world and still seeing your inventions in tomorrow’s products out in the market.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Work with semiconductor processing equipment to research, develop and optimize processes focused on oxidation, annealing, curing, and deposition (CVD, ALD) of thin films
- →Develop new applications of thin films and processes in the areas of logic, memory, analog, power and MEMS
- →Lead a team of engineers, enabling their growth and success in the field of process development
- →Review and guide the development programs of the process engineers. Help design experimental plans and help with the interpretation of the complex experimental output
- →Works with customers and product marketing to understand and define requirements in order to successfully execute projects and demonstrations
- →Ensures successful product transfer to customer base by supervising demonstrations, knowledge transfer, and traveling to support remote sites (up to 25% travel required)
- →Delivers creative solutions, creates inventions and develops intellectual property
- PhD degree in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science, preferably with a thesis related to the semiconductor or adjacent industries
- Minimum 5 years experience with cure, oxidation, ALD, CVD and/or other thin film deposition techniques - MUST HAVE
- Experience with processing, developing and characterizing thin films
- Ideally a first leadership experience
- Understanding of physics of semiconductor devices
- Experience with materials characterization techniques such as XPS, SIMS, RBS, AFM, XRR, XRD, TEM, SEM, and ellipsometry
- Knowledge of electrical characterization techniques for CMOS devices
- Experience with the ASM VF SONORA or DUO toolset is a plus
- Being able to understand semiconductor wafer processing equipment technology, advanced chemistries and the physics of semiconductor devices and materials
- Ability to independently manage and guide several process development projects
- Understanding of the interplay between hardware design and process outputs
- Having a hands-on approach and flexible attitude
- Enjoying solving problems and driving results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly communicate advanced technical constructs in a direct and concise manner
- Good teambuilding skills to drive and motivate the team.
