About the Role

As a CloudOps Engineer, you will join a high-impact Cloud Operations team dedicated to the reliability, performance, and scalability of our cloud platforms. You will work at the intersection of technology and human experience, supporting customer-facing systems for a diverse range of Fortune 500 clients.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to partner with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to maintain platform stability. You will be a key player in our cloud transformation journey, moving the needle on operational maturity through automation and pragmatic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) to ensure high availability for production and non-production environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive automation by contributing to IaC initiatives using Terraform to standardize provisioning and modernize legacy systems.
  • Observability & Reliability: Monitor system health using tools like Datadog and Grafana, diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks before they impact the customer.
  • Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, providing timely resolution and post-mortem insights to improve system resilience.
  • Governance & Compliance: Uphold strict SLA commitments, follow change management procedures, and implement security best practices and data-handling protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on the creation of runbooks and operational guidelines, constantly seeking ways to optimize repeatable processes.
  • Professional Background: 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or a related systems-focused role.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, with a strong preference for AWS.
  • Automation Mindset: Working knowledge of Terraform and a desire to eliminate manual tasks through scripting and automation.
  • Operational Discipline: A deep understanding of cloud infrastructure operations and the ability to manage production systems with a relentless focus on reliability.
  • Troubleshooting Excellence: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex distributed systems to find root causes.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to working within a global, cross-functional team.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Production Terraform Experience: Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure using Terraform in a production setting.
  • Legacy Modernization: Experience re-architecting or migrating legacy systems into cloud-native environments.
  • Multi-Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with Azure or GCP in addition to AWS.
  • Industry Credentials: AWS Certifications (e.g., SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect) or progress toward achieving them.
  • Advanced Tooling: Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Prometheus, or New Relic.
