Senior Software Engineer (ColdFusion / Enterprise Applications) Requisition Summary:ASRC Federal is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the development, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise web applications and data systems. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in ColdFusion development, database management, and system integration, with a proven track record of improving system performance, data integrity, and user experience. This role supports mission-critical operations and requires a proactive problem-solver who can work independently while collaborating across technical and functional teams. This position is 100% remote. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using ColdFusion and related technologies Support full software development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and sustainment Optimize database performance through advanced SQL query development and tuning (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot complex data issues, including root cause analysis and data forensics Integrate applications with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, and other third-party systems Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services (JSON/XML) Improve system performance, reduce errors, and streamline workflows through continuous process improvement Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Develop user-friendly interfaces and reporting tools aligned with end-user needs Ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS) Support system interoperability across multiple environments and platforms Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development (senior-level candidates typically possess significantly more experience) Extensive experience with ColdFusion development in enterprise environments Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, and/or MySQL) Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs Experience integrating with enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and debugging Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting federal or DoD environments Active Secret security clearance required Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Mura/Masa CMS) Experience with DevOps tools and version control (e.g., GitHub) Background in SaaS application development Key Competencies: Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving Strong communication and collaboration skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Initiative and ability to drive continuous improvement Work Location:  Remote or hybrid (as applicable to contract requirements) Clearance Requirement:  Active Secret clearance preferred; must be eligible to obtain and maintain required clearance Travel:Minimal, as required by contract Employment Type:Full-time
