~2 min readAs Senior Director of Product Management, Accelerators, you will be a leader in our Product team responsible for an expansive and high-growth portfolio encompassing Property Tax and Business Licenses compliance solutions. You will partner with our Accelerators GM leadership to establish OKRs and a multi-year roadmap to provide clarity on product vision. You will help drive strategic cross-product and cross-functional initiatives to transform our business and customer experience, focused on growth.

Partner with general managers and cross-functional leaders across the Accelerators portfolio.

Interact with customers and Avalara subject matter experts to understand market needs across business licenses, broad tax compliance, and SaaS environments.

Work closely with product managers to drive consolidated strategies and roadmaps to ensure cohesion across team members and multiple product lines.

Work with product managers on goal setting and plan execution.

Be an evangelist of the Avalara product strategy, particularly our shift to AI-driven systems and tools that replace manual, fragmented processes.

Articulate a clear and compelling product vision for the Accelerators group.

Define metrics that measure key business objectives.

Partner with other Avalara leaders and stakeholders across Engineering, UX/Design, Marketing, and Sales to drive strong relationships that foster goal achievement and issue resolution.

- →Ensure end-to-end accountability by leveraging your combined product, operational, program, and go-to-market knowledge.

- →Lead the shift for our customers from singular product tasks to agentic cross-product workflows as a problem-solver and demonstrated AI experimenter.
- →Partner cross-functionally and integrate diverse product portfolios.

- →Conduct briefings and demos both internally and with customers.
10+ years of related product management experience and 5+ years of leadership and management experience.
Track record of leading a team of 5-20 directs or matrixed employees, and experience influencing product, design, and engineering teams of 40 – 200+.
Demonstrated success leading products and product teams from inception through launch for solutions that target small, mid, and enterprise-level businesses.
Broad understanding of tax compliance, financial technology, and SaaS environments. Preferred experience includes domain expertise in tax compliance, specifically 1099, Property Tax, Business Licenses, or Cross-Border. Bonus if expertise is demonstrated in more than one area.
Experience with agile development methodologies and commonly used tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
Experience utilizing customer journey maps to define end-to-end customer experiences.
Hands-on experience analyzing data and deriving actionable outcomes.
Strategic thinking with the ability to go deep when necessary.
A strong collaborator with high EQ and a sense of empathy.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (accounting, business, or computer science); MBA desirable.
