The Architecture Community operates with a collaborative, client-focused model, bringing together diverse expertise from offices across multiple states. Teams are assembled based on project needs, allowing professionals to contribute to meaningful, technically sophisticated work while continuously sharing best practices across the practice.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver impactful architectural projects while working alongside experienced, multidisciplinary teams. The position provides long-term career stability within a growing practice, exposure to a wide range of project types, and the ability to influence design quality and technical execution across multiple markets. The role is based in Charlotte, NC, with occasional travel to project sites nationwide as needed.
- Lead the technical execution and delivery of architectural projects from early planning through construction
- Manage project teams in alignment with established architectural frameworks, standards, and production tools
- Coordinate with multi-office teams to share best practices and ensure consistent project quality
- Oversee multiple moderate-sized projects or key components of larger, complex projects
- Prepare and review complete construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and project manuals
- Develop and manage scopes of work, project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans
- Assign tasks and provide direction to architects, designers, and technical staff
- Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory officials
- Participate in project meetings and present design and technical solutions
- Apply economic, regulatory, and environmental considerations to design and decision-making
- Demonstrate leadership through effective delegation, time management, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional architectural experience
- Licensed Architect in North Carolina or actively completing the NCARB licensure process
- Strong proficiency in Revit Architecture and related design tools
- Proven experience managing architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
- Broad technical knowledge of architectural systems, detailing, and documentation
- Experience working within multidisciplinary and multi-office environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams and interface with clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
- Self-directed professional with sound judgment and decision-making skills
