Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Real Estate Partners to identify and implement strategic objectives and major initiatives. Provides assistance and support to Real Estate Partners and the department, including but not limited to, workflow management through ongoing communication with project managers, attorneys, clients and other professionals as directed. Monitors and reports on the progress of projects on a regular basis to Real Estate Partners. Assists with workload reports and project matter assignment records, raising timekeeper performance and productivity issues as appropriate.

  • Provides other managerial and operational support for the Practice Group Leaders as needed, and coordinates with other Business professionals across the Firm to include Accounting, Human Resources, Legal Personnel, Information Technology, Integration, Legal Operations, Legal Recruiting, Marketing, and the Professional Responsibility Committee to ensure the goals of the department and the Firm are met.

  • Reviews and understands billing guidelines for the real-estate practice. Assists with reviewing bills and ensuring narrative complies with established guidelines and protocols. Monitors and interfaces with billing team to effectively manage large volume of complex client bills. Coordinates requests for, or produces as needed, financial reports and analyses required by the Practice Group Leaders. Reviews aging reports and builds collaborative relationships with collections managers.

  • Drive weekly meeting agendas, action plans, and internal communications; preparing and circulating concise meeting summaries with clear assignments; overseeing logistical support for meetings and events; facilitating effective collaboration among attorneys, business professionals, clients, and consultants; and ensuring goals, work plans, and cross‑departmental initiatives are clearly articulated and aligned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in business or other related field required

  • 2 + years business operations experience required, preferably in a large law firm or professional services environment

  • 1 +years or financial management or budgeting experience

  • Demonstrated success leading projects and driving cross functional collaboration

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets and competing priorities

  • Strong oral, written communications

  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
