The Quality Support Assistant (Part-time) will support the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Safety and Mission Assurance Services II (SMAS II) contract located in Huntsville, AL.


The Quality Support Assistant will provide administrative and document control support to the Quality Department. This position is responsible for organizing, scanning, digitizing, and securely disposing of quality records while assisting with documentation updates and general office support activities.


Responsibilities

  • Scan, organize, and electronically file quality and program documentation.
  • Prepare and securely shred outdated or obsolete records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy filing systems.
  • Create, edit, and update documentation using Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assist with data entry and document tracking activities.
  • Support the Quality team with administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure records are properly labeled, archived, and maintained for easy retrieval.
  • Assist with maintaining confidentiality and compliance with document retention policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
  • Must be currently attending high school, no years of experience needed.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.
  • Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
  • All of Bastion's employees must be team players with strong work ethics and must be culture oriented.
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
  • Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
