Residential DSP Mon - Fri 4pm to 9pm in Gambrills, MD

Job Summary:
Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Gambrills, MD. This position offers a competitive rate of $21 per hour and requires availability from Monday to Friday, 4 pm to 9 pm. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, promoting independence, ensuring safety, and providing support with daily activities.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow protocols for residents' well-being
- Compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help others
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required
- Capable of lifting at least 50lbs.
- Commitment to attending and completing all necessary trainings

Responsibilities:
- Aid residents with daily tasks like meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters residents' independence and self-esteem
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents
- Implement individual care plans and behavioral support strategies
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ensure residents' safety and well-being at all times
