Currently, bbf: is enlarging its internal staff, and we are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Limassol.
The Cost Control Engineer ensures accurate financial tracking and budget compliance across construction projects by monitoring expenditures, analyzing cost variances, and implementing efficiency measures. This track suits candidates who bring hands-on construction, quantity surveying, site engineering, or project management experience, combining strong analytical skills with technical construction knowledge to support cost optimization while maintaining project quality standards.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets
- Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts for active projects
- Analyze supplier and contractor cost estimates for budget alignment, including market price research
- Track design changes and update cost models accordingly
- Support budget reviews, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives, working closely with the Cost Control Manager and other departments
Requirements for the position:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3–5 years' experience in construction cost control, quantity surveying, project management, or site engineering
- Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
- Strong numerical analysis and data interpretation skills
- Familiarity with CostX or similar QS software (preferred)
- Solid understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Professional English fluency (Greek advantageous)
- Experience preparing cost reports and presentations
