We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of our welcoming and high-quality early years setting. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring outstanding care, education, safeguarding, and staff development.

Responsibilities

→Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and management of the setting
→Lead by example to deliver high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding
→Supervise, mentor, and support nursery staff, including room leaders
→Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding policies
→Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
→Assist with staff rota management, recruitment, and training
→Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or support in this area
→Step up in the Manager’s absence

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 preferred)
Proven experience in a senior role within an early years setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
Passionate about delivering exceptional childcare and early education
A positive, approachable and proactive attitude
