BetterHelp is on a mission to remove the traditional barriers to therapy and make mental health care more accessible to everyone. Founded in 2013, we are now the world’s largest online therapy service, providing affordable and convenient therapy across the globe. Our network of over 30,000 licensed therapists has helped millions of people take ownership of their mental health and change their lives forever. And we’re not stopping there – as the unmet need for mental health services continues to grow, BetterHelp is committed to being part of the solution.

As the Senior Project Manager, Strategic Partnerships at BetterHelp, you’ll join a diverse team of licensed clinicians, engineers, product pros, creatives, marketers, and business leaders who share a passion for expanding access to therapy. And as a mental health company, we take employee mental health just as seriously as we do our mission. We deeply invest in our team’s well-being and professional development, because we know that business and individual growth go hand-in-hand. At BetterHelp, you’ll carve your own path, make an immediate impact, and be challenged every day – with a supportive community behind you the whole way.

We are looking for a highly organized, relationship-oriented Senior Project Manager to support our Strategic & Health Plan Partnerships team in delivering exceptional partner experiences and operational excellence. In this role, you will serve as a key day-to-day contact for assigned internal & external partners, ensuring consistent communication, strong execution, and alignment across internal teams.

You will coordinate cross-functionally with product, operations, clinical, technical, and account management teams to support successful launches, program delivery and proactively address challenges. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining a high standard of partner satisfaction.

Success in this role requires comfort working with data to monitor KPIs and SLAs, supporting business reviews (MBRs/QBRs), and helping translate insights into actionable improvements. You will play an important role in scoping potential partnerships sustaining partnership health, supporting renewals, and identifying opportunities to enhance performance and engagement. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing relationship management with operational execution.

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned strategic partners, supporting ongoing communication and relationship management.
  • Partner closely with the VP, Strategic Initiatives (Health Plan & Strategic Partnership) and Associate Director, Strategic Partnerships to execute partnership strategies, support launches and ensure alignment with broader account goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with clinical, operations, product, and technical teams to ensure timely resolution of partner needs.
  • Act as a strong internal advocate for partner needs, ensuring feedback is shared with leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain a consistent communication cadence with partners, sharing utilization updates, engagement trends, and relevant product enhancements.
  • Support smooth rollouts of BetterHelp services, including project tracking, timelines, and operational coordination.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics (KPIs and SLAs), flagging risks and helping develop action plans to improve outcomes.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs), including performance reporting and insights.
  • Deliver partner-facing demos, onboarding sessions, and training presentations (virtual and occasional in-person).
  • Proactively troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of partner issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal partnership documentation and playbooks.
  • Support contract renewal preparation and retention efforts by contributing reporting, analysis, and operational insights.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the overall partner experience.
  • You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
  • You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
  • You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.

Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our San Jose, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships.
