Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, and organize controlled documents such as work instructions, process guides, forms, and supporting records for plant operations.
  • Manage document updates, routing, approvals, and retention practices to help ensure materials remain current, accurate, and easy to follow.
  • Maintain a well-organized digital documentation system so teams can quickly locate the latest approved information.
  • Work closely with operations, quality, and production personnel to confirm that documented procedures match actual day-to-day processes.
  • Help communicate document changes to employees and support adoption of new or updated procedures.
  • Prepare documentation packages and supporting records for internal reviews, customer requests, and compliance related activities.
  • Monitor documentation practices for consistency and identify opportunities to improve usability, speed, and control.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by helping standardize how process knowledge is captured and maintained.
  • At least 3 years of experience in document control, quality coordination, administrative support, or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate process details into straightforward documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with shared document repositories or document management systems. SharePoint experience is helpful.
  • Comfort working cross functionally with both office and production teams.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments, quality systems, audit support, or controlled documentation practices is preferred.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement concepts such as Lean or process standardization is a plus.
