Role Description/Purpose
The Head of Sales and Account Management Indonesia is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the sales strategy and managing a team of Account Managers to achieve annual B2O (business-to-organisation) business targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Role Accountabilities
The British Council is the world authority in high-quality English language teaching, learning and assessment, and the international distributor of choice for UK professional and school qualifications. As part of our English & Examinations (E&E) Strategic Business Unit, we partner with education institutions, governments and corporate organisations to deliver innovative English language training, assessment and qualifications solutions. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Sales and Account Management, Indonesia to lead the growth of our Business-to-Organisation (B2O) portfolio and strengthen our position as a trusted long-term partner for customers across the country.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of the sales and account management strategy in Indonesia while leading a team of Account Managers and customer success professionals to achieve ambitious business targets. You will oversee the development of key account plans, manage a healthy pipeline of new and existing opportunities, and work closely with marketing and regional stakeholders to maximise customer acquisition, retention and growth. As both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor, you will play a pivotal role in developing compelling proposals, negotiating commercial agreements, securing new business opportunities and expanding partnerships with existing clients.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring people leader with strong business development expertise and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. You will be responsible for coaching and developing a high-performing team, ensuring effective use of CRM systems and sales processes, and driving a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. By leveraging data and market insights, you will monitor performance against KPIs, identify growth opportunities and support the delivery of sustainable business results that contribute to the British Council's mission and commercial success in Indonesia.
Qualifications & Experience
* Education: University degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or discipline
* Certification and Professional Qualifications: Sales or Marketing qualifications
Essential
* 4 years of sales experience to include some experience of B2B sales
* Familiarity with Salesforce or use of similar CRM
* Experience of managing a team
Desirable
* Solution-sales experience in large sectors (e.g. financial services, media, pharmaceuticals tourism, government sector etc)
* B2B Marketing experience
* Language: English level at C1 speaking and writing
* Role specific skills
* High-level sales and negotiation skills
* High-level stakeholder management skills
* Project Management skills
* People Management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft office programs
