Role purpose
This role is responsible for maximizing revenue growth by ensuring alignment between propositions and go-to-market efforts, enabling sales channels with the insight, tools, and support needed to succeed. The Recognition Manager position provides Key Account Management for recognising organisations and government bodies, nurturing stakeholder and partner relationships over time, proactively identifying opportunities to retain and grow recognition for British Council E&E products and managing risk
Role Accountabilities
Account & Stakeholder Management
Building and managing stakeholder relationships to deliver commercial and impact targets using KAM (Key Account Management) tools. Monitoring account performance against KPIs and implementing corrective actions. Identifying opportunities to retain and grow key accounts for promoting recognition of British Council products. Contributes to corporate strategy through collaboration, forums, and networks to enable achievement of British Council commercial and impact targets.

Manages development and submission of high-quality, compliant proposals and bids with cross-functional input. Represents the organisation in stakeholder engagements and negotiations to protect and advance strategic interests
Risk & Compliance
Monitoring stakeholder feedback to drive service improvements aligned with policies and priorities. Identifying and mitigates risks in line with corporate policies
Brand & Market Positioning
Using market insights to strengthen competitiveness and reputation. Collaborating with internal teams to align on market priorities. Overseeing marketing, PR, and advocacy activities. Identifying and drives new promotional and growth opportunities with ROI focus
Commercial / Financial Management
Negotiates global contracts aligned with agreed frameworks and standards. Ensures resources and investment to support growth. Supports data systems for reporting and forecasting. Monitors performance and investigates variances.
Leadership & Management
Leading delivery of the annual channel development workplan across teams. Supporting training to improve team effectiveness. May line managing a small, local team of more junior staff. Contributing to wider proposition strategy development.

Work Experience
Essentials
* Knowledge of global industry landscape and British Council E&E product portfolio
* Demonstrable experience of successful key account management for a global product or service
* Demonstrable experience of delivering complex global services or products
* Demonstrable experience of being proactive in coming up with creative solutions and ideas for the benefit of recognising organisations and for the organisation
* Skilled in analysing markets, identifying opportunities and responding to changes in the external environment to deliver tangible business results
* Demonstrable experience of strategic thinking and ability to translate into specific plans to deliver business outcomes
* Demonstrable experience of developing, negotiating and monitoring global contracts, holding to account and taking remedial action when necessary
Desirables
* Demonstrates evidence of successfully adding value to an established proposition
* Experience of working in the international higher education market
