As a central part of this role, you will help strengthen the influence of our Quality Department, working with a trusted Queensland brand to advance quality systems, ensure compliance, and drive ongoing improvement.
About the Role
~1 min readThe Quality Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring high standards across our operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage quality assurance and compliance in a food manufacturing environment to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards.
- Maintain and implement Quality Management Systems procedures, schedules, registers, HACCP Plans, logs and documentation as well as record keeping.
- Advising management, operations, laboratory, and sales teams on day-to-day product quality issues.
- Educating site personnel in quality, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), CCPs and procedures through training and awareness sessions.
- Drive a positive quality and food safety culture and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Scheduling and completing internal, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and safety audits.
- Investigate non-conformances and maintain the corrective and preventative action register to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Lead external audits including the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and other relevant standard audits.
- Monitor and review Quality Objectives and generate reports.
- Manage a team.
Requirements
~1 min read- 2+ years hands-on experience in Quality Assurance management and BRC standard or equivalent GFSI standard in a food manufacturing industry.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and quality management systems.
