Hybrid Work Arrangement
At CDA-AMC, employees participate in a hybrid workspace arrangement that allows for flexibility and enhanced work-life balance. This position follows a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 2 days onsite, though this requirement may vary based on business and operational needs.
Primary Focus
We are seeking to fill a current opening on our Appropriate Use team. Reporting to the Director, Appropriate Use, the Lead, Appropriate Use will support the advancement of the Appropriate Use Strategy in partnership with internal and external partners. As a new function for the organization, this will include strategy and framework development, assessments, relationship management, and evaluation.
This work will include supporting the implementation of programs and quality standards, catalyzing best practices, and building capacity and knowledge. The role will also monitor the health policy landscape in Canada and internationally in collaboration with other internal teams, to identify emerging priorities and trends.
What do the daily responsibilities look like?
On any given day, the Lead, Appropriate Use will:
support the development and delivery of the Appropriate Use Strategy and plans to meet the needs of people living in Canada
be responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners related to appropriate use, working to enhance delivery, uptake, and impact of appropriate use deliverables
consolidate data and information to support decision-making, including developing reports, briefing notes, implementation plans, presentations, and other dissemination materials
monitor the health policy landscape in Canada and internationally, in collaboration with the engagement team, to identify emerging priorities in appropriate use
act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to the assigned priority areas in the appropriate use portfolio
represent Canada’s Drug Agency nationally and internationally, upon request, at meetings, conferences, and other events
translate detailed information into meaningful and accessible insights
support committees and working groups comprising both internal and external partners.
Is this the right role for you?
The Lead, Appropriate Use will likely have:
completed a postsecondary education in a related discipline coupled with experience in business and program development, engagement, and/or innovation; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Additional related experience may serve as a suitable equivalent for completion of postsecondary education.
experience in product and service innovation within the health sector
experience developing and presenting new ideas to senior leaders for consideration
experience monitoring contracts and achievement of deliverables
knowledge of emerging health technologies and approaches
exceptional communication and relationship management skills
the ability to translate complex information into concise and accessible insights for senior decision-makers
a natural collaborator with the ability to connect key internal and external partners together to move projects and initiatives forward
a proven proactive approach and resourcefulness to find solutions and adapt to changing priorities
the ability to influence without authority, with comfort navigating ambiguity.
