Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional service while preparing, packaging, and merchandising high-quality deli and prepared food products. This position plays an important role in supporting the success of our Deli Department by providing fresh meal solutions, assisting customers with their everyday needs, and delivering an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service to all customers.
• Prepare and serve deli foods, including sandwiches, meals, soups, and other prepared food items.
• Package, label, and merchandise deli products according to company standards.
• Assist customers with catering orders and entertaining needs.
• Slice, weigh, and package meats, cheeses, and other specialty products.
• Maintain attractive and well-stocked deli displays.
• Learn and share knowledge about specialty cheeses, sliced meats, and prepared food offerings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area while following food safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a deli, food service, grocery, or customer service environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn about deli products, food preparation, and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to provide excellent service to customers.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.
