Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Finance Intern (Talent Pool) Experience: 0-1 year Location: Multiple (Kenya and Global) Industries: Multiple Roles Within the Talent Pool Include but not limited to Financial analyst intern Accounting intern Investment banking intern Risk management intern Treasury intern Audit intern Financial planning and wealth management intern Credit analyst intern Responsibilities Assist with data entry and data analysis tasks, which can include working with spreadsheets and financial databases. Help create financial reports and statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Support the finance team in budget creation and financial forecasting, which includes analyzing historical data and making projections. Assist with the processing of accounts payable (vendor invoices) and accounts receivable (customer invoices) and help ensure timely payments and collections. Perform reconciliations, such as bank account reconciliations, to verify the accuracy of financial records. Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal or external audits. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for potential cost savings or revenue generation. Research financial markets, industry trends, and economic indicators to provide insights for investment or financial decisions. Assist with researching potential investment opportunities, including stocks, bonds, or other financial instruments. Help build and update financial models to evaluate various financial scenarios and make recommendations. Assist in identifying and assessing financial risks and contributing to the development of risk management strategies. Support tax professionals in preparing tax returns, researching tax codes, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Ensure that financial transactions and activities adhere to relevant financial regulations and compliance standards. Communicate financial information within the organization, including sharing financial reports and assisting other departments in understanding financial data. Learn and use financial software and tools, such as accounting software and financial analysis tools. Perform general administrative duties to support the finance team, including filing, documentation, and organizing financial records. Prepare presentations to communicate financial data and findings to team members or management. Continuously learn and develop financial knowledge and skills through training programs and on-the-job experiences. Collaborate with the team to identify and solve financial challenges and address issues as they arise.
