Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Operations Officer – Mid-Level (Global Talent Pool) Experience: 3-7 years Location: Global Industries: Humanitarian, NGO, INGO Responsibilities Lead the grants management process, including proposal development, grant agreement negotiation, and compliance monitoring. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, including financial and narrative reports, in compliance with donor guidelines. Oversee sub grant management processes, including due diligence, contract negotiations, and monitoring of activities. Manage the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Develop and monitor organizational budgets, ensuring alignment with programmatic objectives and strategic priorities. Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies. Coordinate the annual budgeting process, working closely with program managers and senior leadership to develop realistic and strategic budgets. Monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year, identifying variances and recommending necessary adjustments. Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support long-term financial planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with donor regulations, legal requirements, and organizational policies related to grants management, finance, and operations. Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, implementing controls and procedures to minimize exposure to risks and liabilities. Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Requirements Core Competencies Strategic Thinking Collaboration and Teamwork Communication Adaptability and Flexibility Problem-Solving Cultural Sensitivity Ethical Conduct Leadership Technical Competencies: Grants Management Financial Management Budgeting and Forecasting Risk Management Financial Analysis Grant Proposal Development Donor Compliance Project Management Knowledgeable of Financial Reporting Software Knowledgeable of Grants Management Software Cost Allocation Auditing and Compliance Capacity Building Risk Assessment Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, international development, or a related field. 3-7 years of relevant experience in grants management, finance, or operations, preferably in the international development or nonprofit sector. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software. Proven experience in program design, implementation, and management, with a track record of achieving measurable results. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to the organization's values and mission, with a passion for social impact and humanitarian work. Fluency in English (additional languages, particularly those spoken in target regions, is an advantage).
