At our assisted living community, every role plays a part in enhancing the daily lives of our residents. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and service-oriented Facility Support & Transportation Specialist who is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.

 

This hybrid position primarily supports transportation services and facility operations, while also being cross trained in security functions to provide backup coverage when needed. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, flexible, and committed to delivering exceptional service to residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents and staff
  • Assist residents with boarding, seating, and mobility devices as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of vehicles
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and organizational procedures
  • Assist with light maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and room or event set-ups
  • Support the Facilities team with preventative maintenance, inspections, and assigned work orders
  • Monitor campus buildings and grounds for safety hazards; promptly report or address concerns
  • Assist with moving equipment, supplies, and furniture to support daily operations and events
  • Provide support during emergency situations, including assisting with safety procedures or transportation needs
  • Collaborate with Facilities leadership (Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor) to complete assigned tasks and projects
  • Perform additional facilities-related duties as needed to support community operations
  • Provide backup security coverage as needed to support a safe campus environment
  • Assist with monitoring activity, access control, and responding to incidents
  • Support emergency response procedures and safety protocols
  • Maintain a visible, professional, and reassuring presence for residents and visitors

Requirements

  • Valid Arizona driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Experience with general facility support tasks, including painting, moving furniture, minor repairs, and basic maintenance
  • Strong observation skills with sound judgment and the ability to respond appropriately to safety concerns
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate and professional approach
  • Basic computer proficiency, including use of systems for communication and work orders
  • Ability to work effectively in an assisted living setting with a focus on resident safety, dignity, and quality of life
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, prolonged standing, and assisting with mobility-related tasks as needed
