Regional Strategy & Authority: Serve as the definitive product and solutions authority for the APAC region, shaping product strategy and roadmap priorities, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment between local market needs and Caseware's global product vision.
Oversee Regional Product Team: Manage product managers and product owners in the APAC region, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning. Provide on-the-job coaching and mentorship, conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and identify development opportunities to foster career growth. Place a strategic focus on building in-region capacity to navigate APAC's diverse markets and strengthening local ownership of the roadmap.
Roadmap Ownership & Prioritisation: Own the regional product roadmap, business cases, and resourcing trade-offs, scoping and prioritising development activity based on business and customer impact, in close consultation with CaseWare International Product Leads and Product Owners.
Product Governance & Escalation: Act as the key internal subject matter expert on product matters across APAC, serving as the escalation point for Development and Customer Success on complex product requirements.
Development Planning & Backlog Management: Assist the Product Managers and Product Owners with planning and prioritising development work. Write and refine user stories, contribute to backlog grooming, and use Caseware's chosen product framework to guide the development of audit-related products and services.
Global Integration: Maintain strong working relationships with Caseware International Solution Leads and Product Managers/Owners, and with other Caseware distributors, to stay across global roadmaps and ensure APAC's customer stories, requirements, and roadmap priorities are represented in international planning.
Voice of the Customer: Regularly engage customers across all segments (small, medium, and large firms, Corporates, and Government) through client interviews and feedback channels to understand pain points, define market problems, and represent customer needs internally, ensuring the product roadmap continues to align with evolving business needs.
Industry & Standards Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key developments in the accounting and audit industry, including local compliance standards and emerging practice issues.
Strategic Alliance & Institute Management: Manage strong working relationships with local subject matter experts, standard setters and member bodies in the APAC region, including (but not limited to) CA ANZ, CPA, AUASB, AASB, ISCA and HKICA, to support timely information sharing and Caseware's inclusion in relevant publications and technology related considerations.
Product Leadership Experience: 10+ years' experience in product management or solutions roles, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity owning a roadmap end-to-end and leading product teams across multiple markets.
Audit & Accounting Domain Depth: At least 5 years' experience working in or with the audit and accounting profession, and strong working knowledge of audit and accounting practice — ideally gained in professional practice or in software serving auditors and accountants — with the credibility to engage practitioners, standard setters and member bodies.
APAC Market Understanding: A minimum of 3 years' experience working across APAC markets, with demonstrated understanding of their diversity, including local regulatory and compliance environments across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and the ability to translate regional needs into global product priorities.
Commercial & Strategic Judgement: Proven ability to build business cases, weigh resourcing trade-offs, and prioritise development activity on the basis of customer and commercial impact.
Influencing Across a Global Matrix: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing international product, engineering and distributor counterparts without direct authority.
Customer-Led Mindset: Genuine curiosity about customer problems, with experience running client interviews and feedback programs and turning insight into well-defined market problems and user stories.
People Development: At least 3 years' direct people-management experience coaching and growing product managers and product owners, setting clear goals and building in-region capability.
Delivery Discipline: Familiarity with modern product frameworks and agile delivery practices, including backlog grooming, user story writing and prioritisation at scale.
