In essence, an SAP BDC Manager (Presales) combines deep technical SAP/non-SAP expertise with client-facing responsibilities, mainly supporting presales efforts through solution designing, feasibility consultations, and demonstrating the SAP Business Data Cloud capabilities. This role typically suits highly experienced BI professionals with expert knowledge in SAP BW, Datasphere, SAC, and CDS Views along with strong leadership and communication skills

Lead design and solutioning for FP&A and BI reporting using SAP tools.

Provide technical guidance on SAP BI/BW, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and related SAP data projects.

Drive presales activities for SAP BDC and non-SAP BI opportunities, from discovery to deal closure.

Act as a trusted solution advisor to customers’ business and IT leadership teams. Support presales activities with expert consulting advice and presentations for potential clients

Design and articulate end to end SAP Business Data Cloud solution architectures.

Translate customer business challenges into differentiated SAP value propositions.

Lead executive level presentations, value workshops, and solution deep dives. Support RFPs, proposals, demos, and proof of value initiatives. Translate customer business challenges into clear, differentiated SAP value propositions.

Ensure solution designs align with SAP architectural standards, cloud strategy, and security principles.

Act as a subject matter expert for SAP BDC within the local presales team. Mentor and guide other presales colleagues in SAP data and analytics solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Accounting.
8–12 years of experience in SAP consulting, solution advisory, or presales. Strong hands-on expertise in SAP data, analytics, and cloud architectures.
5 years of experience in SAP BI/BW development including BW on HANA or BW/4 HANA, or 3 years of experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud
Strong functional and technical expertise, particularly in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning.
Proven skills in CDS Views and SAP data modelling techniques.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to lead a small team and exercise independent decision-making
