- →Facilitate class discussions, assignments, and assessments to foster student engagement and learning
- →Provide regular feedback to students and the program’s Lead Instructor and/or Program Coordinator
- →Maintain accurate records of student progress
- →Maintain courses on the college’s learning management system (LMS), keeping in compliance with ADA Title II, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- →Maintain professional currency in the field and comply with college policies and standards
Requirements
~2 min read- Education: Minimum of associate degree (bachelor’s or higher preferred) from a recognized college or university with a major study in nursing, health, education, emergency medicine, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience as a paramedic, nurse, or advanced medical provider (APRN, PA, MD/OD). Current employment as a medical provider (prehospital preferred). Preference given to applicants with experience in emergency medicine and to applicants with experience as an educator (especially paramedic-level).
- License/Certification: Licensure as a paramedic (New Hampshire preferred), nurse, or advanced medical provider (APRN, PA, MD/OD). Paramedic applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, EMS Instructor I certification within 1 year. Preference given to applicants holding American Heart Association Instructor certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Recommended Work Traits: Knowledge of education and accreditation standards (state and national) and principles, methods, techniques, tools and equipment in subjects being taught. Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and as a member of academic department/team. Ability to handle matters with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality, as appropriate. Ability to exercise professional judgment and proper decision-making. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college. NO flexibility for rotating schedules, must be available for all lecture and laboratory sessions.
- Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.
