Shift/Schedule:
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of a behavioral health unit
  • Lead and support nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards
  • Monitor admissions, discharges, and patient care quality
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives and quality metrics
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and unit operations
  • Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on clinical and operational goals

Requirements

  • Active RN license in New York
  • 5+ years RN experience
  • 5+ years psychiatric/behavioral health experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience managing a psychiatric unit (required)
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (DOH, Joint Commission)
  • Experience with quality improvement and performance metrics
  • BSN required
  • Master’s in Nursing preferred
  • BLS, ACLS required
  • Crisis Management certification (PMCS, TRUST)
  • Full-time, onsite leadership role
  • Stable weekday schedule
