Responsibilities

→Oversee daily operations of a behavioral health unit
→Lead and support nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
→Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards
→Monitor admissions, discharges, and patient care quality
→Drive performance improvement initiatives and quality metrics
→Manage staffing, budgeting, and unit operations
→Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance
→Collaborate with senior leadership on clinical and operational goals

Requirements

Active RN license in New York
5+ years RN experience
5+ years psychiatric/behavioral health experience
2+ years of leadership experience in a hospital setting
Experience managing a psychiatric unit (required)
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (DOH, Joint Commission)
Experience with quality improvement and performance metrics

BSN required
Master’s in Nursing preferred
BLS, ACLS required
Crisis Management certification (PMCS, TRUST)
