ABA Intern (Unpaid High School Internship)

Consultants for Children, Inc. is seeking a motivated high school student interested in psychology, behavioral health, education, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to join our team as an ABA Intern.

This unpaid internship is designed to provide educational and career exploration experience through supervised observation, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities within a behavioral health setting.

What You’ll Learn

• Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Professional skills within a behavioral health environment
• Strategies that support social interaction and engagement for children
• Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
• Communication and workplace readiness skills

Internship Activities

• Observe ABA sessions under supervision
• Shadow staff during peer interaction and social engagement activities
• Participate in educational discussions and mentorship opportunities
• Attend trainings and learning opportunities related to ABA services
• Learn about professionalism, confidentiality, and behavioral health practices

Important Information

• This is an unpaid educational internship
• Interns do not provide direct therapy services or replace paid staff
• All activities are supervised and structured for learning purposes
• No prior ABA experience required

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old
• Currently enrolled in high school 
• Interest in psychology, education, behavioral health, social work, or related fields
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable interacting with children with developmental challenges
• Reliable, professional, and able to accept feedback
