Responsibilities
~1 min readYou will be working in our Network Operations Center (NOC), it’s the beating technical heart of CM.com, available 24/7. The Network Operations Centre is the place where al of our product and services come together. Here we monitor the performance, the security and the technical status of our network, the systems, the traffic and our own buildings. Together with your colleagues, you detect and solve issues proactively and by doing so, make sure our clients get the best possible service levels and our company is secure. Our NOC is a unique service we deliver to our customers and one of the reasons why our customers choose to work with us. Here at CM.com, we are proud of having this organized in-house.
As Network Operations Engineer at CM.com you will work together with IT, research & development teams and stakeholders from all over the world. From problem identification to complete solution, you manage matters by telephone and e-mail. When shit hits the fan: our NOC is there to make things ok again.
You are curious, you like to dig into things and you have a problem-solving mindset. Apart from your highly responsible day-to-day work, our team has all the freedom to explore other ways to develop themselves and contribute to the company.
As mentioned before, we provide 24/7 service and therefore the NOC-team works in a 10-day rotation scheme following this rhythm:
- 2 times the morning shift (7.30 – 15.30)
- 2 times the mid-day shifts (15.30 – 23.30)
- 2 nights shifts (23.30 – 7.30)
- 4 days off (long weekends!)
This working scheme enables our team to have a healthy work/life balance. Especially people that like to have more free time during the days are appealed by this way of working. We plan this schedule a year ahead so you know what you can expect!

Can manage arising issues without having all the knowledge. (De-)escalating and inform the right stakeholders;

Are curious. You like to find out why something is happening. You can be creative with databases using SQL if you would like;
Are fluent in Dutch and English;
Are comfortable working the 10 days rotation scheme. We are flexible with holidays and also if you would like to work more shifts;
